HSC results to be declared on June 4

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education said on Saturday the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, held in February-March, would be declared at 11 am on June 4. The results will also be put up on the Internet.The site mahresult.nic.in/

The HSC exam was conducted in eight divisions of the Board, including Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Amravati, Kolhapur, Nashik and Latur. This year, 11.84 lakh students from 5,301 junior colleges in the state had registered for the HSC examination. Out of that, 4.94 lakh were girls. Students who wish to verify their marks after the results can submit their applications to the Board by June 15. While students who want to reappear for the exams in October 2009 can submit their applications by the same date. The date of submission with late fee is June 22. Students can also reappear for the exam under the Improvement Scheme. The board said the government has given its approval to General Mathematics (part 1 and 2) as optional subjects for Arithmetic and Geometry for SSC from this academic year. Students, who will appear for SSC exams in March 2010, can opt for General Mathematics after the schools reopen.
