UKSEE 2009 (Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination 2009)

Uttarakhand Technical University (UKTU), Dehradun is conducting Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE: 2009) on 09th and 10th May, 2009 for admission to degree courses in Engineering (B.Tech)/ Pharmacy (B. Pharm.)/ Architecture (B. Arch.)/ Hotel Management (BHMCT) and Post Graduate Courses MCA/MBA of Govt Aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University along with some other Universities of Uttarakhand in academic session 2009-10.

Examination Schedule: BHMCT/MBA/MCA/ Lateral Entry for Second Year: 09th May, 2009 and B.Tech./B. Pharm./B. Arch: 10th May, 2009.

Eligibility to Appear in UKSEE-2009:

1. For admission to first year of B.Tech/B.Pharm/B.Arch/BHMCT, candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2 level or equivalent) examination of Uttarakhand Board or from any recognized board.

2. For admission to first year of B. Arch., candidate must have minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate of qualifying examination along with NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) score. The candidate possessing three year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) with minimum 50% marks are also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch. only.

3. For admission to first year of MCA/MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course (with mathematics as one subject at 10+2 or graduation level for MCA only) from any recognized University.

4. The admission to second year (lateral entry) of B. Tech., the candidate must have passed three years ‘Diploma in Engineering’ or three years ‘B.Sc degree with mathematics as one subject’ and securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

5. The admission to second year (lateral entry) of B. Pharm., the candidate must have passed ‘Diploma in Pharmacy’ and securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

6. The candidates appearing in qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in UKSEE-2009 subject to the condition that they will fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.

7. The ‘State Quota’ for all courses shall be filled by UKSEE-2009 only.

8. ‘All India Quota’ for B.Pharm., BHMCT and MCA courses shall be filled by UKSEE-2009 only. Such candidates are required to appear in UKSEE-2009.

MHT-CET-2009 NOTIFICATION

Notification MHT-CET-2009

Government of Maharashtra shall conduct a single Combined "Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2009 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2009-2010. The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 7th May 2009. Govt of Maharashtra has appointed Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai as “The Competent Authority for the MHT-CET-2009”. The merit list of the above said examination will be utilized for admission in:

(1) Government/Municipal Corp/ Government Aided Colleges of Health Sciences degree courses.

(2) Government/Government Aided/University Managed Colleges/University Departments/ Autonomous Institutions/ Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (U.I.C.T.) and Unaided Private Colleges (those colleges who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2009) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses.

(3) BVSc & AH degree course.

For selection process there will be separate Competent Authorities. For selection to Health Science degree courses, The Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai is the Competent Education (DTE), Mumbai will be the competent authority. The authority for selection to BVSc & AH degree course is The Registrar, Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries Science University, Nagpur.

The qualifying examination for appearing at MHT-CET-2009 is HSC (12th standard) or equivalent examination with the conditions for eligibility as defined in the respective brochure(s). Candidates should give their requirement of application form on or before 25/02/2009, to their college/school where they are studying 12th Standard. Those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination i.e. 12th standard examination earlier i.e. in 2008 or before and desire to appear for the MHT-CET 2009 should also give their requirement on or before 25/02/2009 to their respective college/school (from where they have passed the 12th standard).

A single application form and three brochures (Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be made available from 13/03/2009. The schedule and place of receiving and submission of application form is as per following:

All the three brochures (health science, engineering and pharmacy) are available on the websites of DMER (www.dmer.org) and DTE (www.dte.org.in/fe2009 and www.dte.org.in/ph2009). The cost of the application form along with the three information brochures of MHT-CET-2009 and examination fee is Rs. 700/- for open category and all outside maharashtra candidates and Rs. 500/- for constitutionally reserved category candidates (belonging to maharashtra state only). This amount is not refundable.

All candidates who for any reason whatsoever are not able to receive application forms through the school/Jr college should collect it from office of Divisional authority of his/her area by giving a DD in favour of “Competent-Authority, MH-CET, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai worth Rs. 700/- for open category and all outside maharashtra candidates and Rs. 500/- for constitutionally reserved category candidates (belonging to maharashtra state only) on any nationalized/scheduled commercial bank, but he/she has to submit it through his/her school/junior college (from where he/she studied 12th std.)

For candidates who have passed HSC or equivalent exam from outside maharashtra state (OMS), the place of submission of application form, collection of receipt cum identity card and admit card shall be given in the following:

1. Outside maharashtra state (OMS) candidates are permitted to appear for the MHT-CET 2009 in order to become eligible for admission to first year of:
● Four year full time degree courses in engineering/technology in *Unaided private institutes who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET 2009
● Four year full time degree course in pharmacy in Unaided private institute who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET 2009

Note: (i) *Eligible OMS candidates who are appearing for MHT-CET-2009 and seeking admission to engineering degree courses shall be considered eligible for admission against the institute level seats and the seats remaining vacant after completion of CAP, only in Unaided Private Colleges.

(ii) Eligible OMS candidates who are appearing for MHT-CET-2009 and seeking admission to Pharmacy Degree course shall be considered eligible for admission during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds. Such candidate may also apply for admission against the institute level seats and the seats remaining vacant after completion of CAP in Unaided Private Colleges.

However, if the approval is not received before 30/06/2009, these candidates will be treated at par with OMS candidates and hence they are advised to appear for MHT-CET-2009.

4. Candidates who are eligible to apply against the provision of Jammu & Kashmir Migrant candidate as well as the Maharahstra State candidate are entitled to claim only one type of seat i.e either maharashtra state seat or J&K migrant seat for admission to engineering/ Technology/Pharmacy degree courses. Further if the candidate opts for maharashtra state candidature than he/she has to appear for the MHT-CET-2009.

5. Separate notifications for the following types of candidates regarding the schedule of Admission process will be issued by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, in the month of May/June 2009.

● AIEEE qualified candidates seeking admission to engineering/technology degree courses in Unaided Institutes who have given consent to participate in CAP.
● J&K migrant candidates

ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN KARNATAKA FOR THE YEAR 2009-2010 (Notification and Eligibility)

Notification
1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration for the “Common Entrance Test-2009” for admissions to first year Medical / Dental/Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2009-10.

2. A candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture. 3. The merit will be determined in accordance with the provision of the “Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission
to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006”.

Karnataka CET 2009 Eligibility



(a) For Medical / Dental courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group both in Qualifying Examination
and Common Entrance Test.

(b) For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/ 12th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group in the qualifying examination.

For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December 2009.

(c) For Engineering / Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test.

In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

(d) For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B)] and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it. (Including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2009 for selection of a seat in the same discipline. Such candidate will immediately orfeit the seat selected by him during the previous years, upon selection of a seat in a different discipline during the year.

2. The merit list of candidates for admission to Medical and Dental courses will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in PCB subjects, taken together, in the Common Entrance Test. For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology courses, the merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the respective optional subjects, in both qualifying examination
and the Common Entrance Test taken in equal proportions. For Architecture course, the Merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in both qualifying examination and NATA taken in equal proportions.

SUPPLY OF BROCHURE -CUM- APPLICATION FORMKarnataka CEt 2009 Brochure-cum-application form Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka in which the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs. 550/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority,Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and Rs. 400/- for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. The repeater and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka before 2009 should also submit the demand draft for the above said amount to the respective schools / colleges. The Last date for submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be 10-02-2009.

The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (i.e., Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm X 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 650/- drawn in favour of“The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 3000/-.

The contents on the self-addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly superscribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET-2009 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the following address of Executive Director by “Speed Post” ONLY. The KEA will not take responsibility for the envelopes sent through courier or given in person or through any other private arrangement and also for incomplete and insufficient address on the envelope. The last date for submission of Demand Drafts by “Speed Post” will be 16-02-2009.
